No country for sick young men
Today I will be gone. I tried to say that I can't see a damn thing, but the brigade commander doesn't care about such things. Goodbye. Please help mom.
Sick men
On June 10, a chef with almost total blindness was sent to the trenches. His friend, Andriy Alyokhin, wrote the following about it on facebook.:
Folks, I really don't know what to do. I'm desperate. Can someone help?
Here's the situation. My neighbor, a young guy, volunteered. They didn't want to take him into the army: his vision is practically zero. Glasses with lenses – each as thick as my hand.
But he insisted – I'll be a cook in the army (he is a professional cook), it will be useful. Luckily, the military medical commission found him of limited fitness, and they took him after all.
So he served as a cook. For a year. Then he was urgently transferred to the 110th Brigade, where they don't really care who you are and what kind of glasses you have.
Now he writes to me from the trench: I don't want to worry mom, but I ask you – tell her that I loved her very much. Today I will be gone. They threw us into battle, the faggots are attacking, we barely repelled one attack, but I won't survive another, shooting somewhere in the direction of the target. I tried to say that I can't see a damn thing, but the brigade commander doesn't care about such things. Goodbye. Please help mom.
What to do? Can someone tell me? On one hand - someone has to die for the Motherland. But on the other – when I think about his lenses each as thick as my hand... Someone, please tell me.
What’s particularly interesting is that Alyokhin works at a government-owned TV station, 1+1 - Zelensky’s TV birthplace. Alyokhin has 30,000 followers, lives in Kyiv, and mainly posts patriotic content.
Also, regarding ‘faggots’ - that’s the standard term used for Russian soldiers in the Ukrainian army, alongside ‘orcs’. Though from what I can tell, faggots is more and more popular. Even the refined liberal commentators sitting on Soros funds over at Ukrainska Pravda use it in their military reports.
And here are the top comments on Alyokhin’s post:
