Zelensky’s cabinet, by that point purged of the original ‘Sorosite liberal-nazi reformers’ like Oleksii Honcharuk, tried to pass a law that would require industrial localization. It was immediately condemned by all Ukraine’s liberal media, and public letters of outrage by the US and EU put the nail in the coffin. Ultimately, the bill was passed, but it only limited state purchases from non-western countries. Have a look at my original post for more.
Now, imagine my surprise when scrolling through ‘the Weekly Mirror’, one of Ukraine’s premier liberal media groups. On 29 May, it published an article titled ‘Localization in Public Procurements: a Test for Officials in Understanding National Interests’.
