The whole system seems so disjointed it's crazy, I think I'm remembering it correctly that in the past you've written about the hatred a lot of people have for the mobilisation officers and the contempt that even regular soldiers seem to hold them in, to then be complaining that not enough people are being mobilised to allow for them to be demobilised and allowed to rest. It just seems like the whole thing is grinding to a halt and it makes you wonder how the Ukrainian army is even still fighting at all

Have you seen examples of foreign nationals being mobilised yet? Or is this a no-go for them?

Last year or so the government made it clear that dual citizens would be mobilized. The US officially advised dual citizens in Ukraine to beware. I don't know of concrete cases though

Since mobilization is aimed at the poor, I doubt any US citizens in Ukraine would fall victim

Ok. I visit family (I am not Ukrainian) every now and then and wonder a bit if I am in danger from the TCK. But coming from a rich western nation I kind of assumed they would not want to upset my government. Hard to know for sure though.

If you don’t have Ukrainian citizenship, there is no danger of mobilization. I haven’t visited the country since March 2022. I don’t think you will face problems from the government as a westerner unless you say a lot of politically incorrect things publicly
